The Dallas Cowboys, Americas Football Team, play their home games in Irving, Texas at Texas Stadium. This is just one of the reasons that Irving is popular, but it is no longer the only reason people visit the area. Whether you are attending a Dallas Cowboy football game or are just staying at a hotel in the area while visiting Dallas, Irving continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
The very upscale and trendy area in Irving is called Las Colinas. It is here that the Studios of Las Colinas are located and where local television shows are filmed. As a young adult I would visit the Studios at Las Colinas to attend gala parties in the area. While certainly not as grand as Hollywood, the place does it Dallas-style, nevertheless.
The Best Place to Find Irving Hotels and Motels
While there are some fine hotels and resorts in the Las Colinas area of Irving, you can also find budget options on Highway 114. This highway will also take you by the place where many Byron Nelson Golf Tournaments have been held in years past. Irving is all about moderation, so you will find a diverse group of people and neighborhoods within the Irving, Texas city limits.
For a real treat, take a ride on the gondolas in downtown Las Colinas, reminiscent of the real thing in Venice, Italy. There are also some amazing bronze statues called the Mustangs of Las Colinas. Quite unlike any sculptures you will ever see, these mustangs appear lifelike and in motion.
